For term four my goals are WRITING:To increase the amount of writing I do and the quality of that writing. I will do this by spending more time at home doing writing and hopefully that will increase the amount of writing and the quality. MATHS:To get my maths finished faster. I will do this by decreasing the amount talking I do when doing maths. READING:To get faster at doing vocab. I will do this by not letting anyone distract me and take more risks because I am to cautious when doing vocab and it really slows me down. OTHER:To get at least one more badge on my jersey and also to get my bronze. I will do this by trialing for teams and try to be consistently honest so I get my last two signatures. Those are my goals for term four 2017 

On Monday week four term three we had chocolate selling and I was going to buy one but I didn't have any money. In assembly they announced the winners for chocolate selling. The top three prizes were Xbox one, GoPro session and a bike. Obviously the first place person took the Xbox the second took the GoPro and third took the bike. The top place person sold 26  boxes of chocolates worth a huge $1560. On Tuesday I had wims cross-country and I got 18th for year seven boys and I was proud of that.On Friday we had tech and I finished it and it came out good.Later on that day we had cross-country and I wasn't going to try too hard but holly passed me so I raced her all The way around the track.

On Monday we went to assembly but nothing else really happened.I can't remember too much about Wednesday but I can remember doing  a bit of maths about perimeter. On Tuesday we had tech and I made a pencil case.Thursday we had robotics and I nearly finished all the challenges for basic movement but I still have three to go and quizzes and exams.Then Jude,Will and I went to room 12 and we just talked about our speeches. Friday was fun because I learnt colors and other stuff in french for example(pink = rose).After morning-tea we had tech and I decided that I would make a KTM©  pillowcase and It has the KTM© logo in the middle.After launch we had cross-country and I just jogged but ended up doing pretty good. Overall I had a great week and I am really looking ford to making my pillowcase in tech.😃

On the first day of term the class found out that Ms Crowe was going to be away all week and that we would have Mr Mcabe as our teacher. First thing in the morning we had a test about shapes,     perimeter,area and pie. After morning-tea we had to look back at our test and make a personalized work plan.I didn't do to well in the test so I had a lot to do. Later that day we did speeches. ed a soft tennis ball. The rest of the day we did speeches and student led conferences. On Tuesday we had our first fabric lesson and I almost finish my soft tennis ball. I can't remember what we did on Wednesday but I do know that we did  cross country because we did it every day of the week. Friday was by far the best day of the week because we had french,tech where I finished my ball and I made another and then lastly we did wims cross country trials and I got fourth and top six for each age group get in so I was pretty happy with that.

                                 Week nine reflection In week nine I finished my fractions work and then started ratio and I think I finished it. Also I finished my visual presentation. I made a plaque with the Jude star in the middle that I carved out and the name Oskar Schindler at the top with facts about his life all about I spent a few minutes cutting it out but a few hours sanding. On Tuesday we had wood work and I finished a box that had a nice handle it was quite easy to make so I asked for bigger pieces of wood and I made it 30 cm long and 150mm wide and tall. On Friday we didn't have french but we did have wood work and I made a spinning top. I got picked up after lunch to go see my sisters singing. Overall I had a great week and got quite a bit done.

Week eight reflection I finished my argument writing about helmets that was a big relief .Also I started my inquiry, for my inquiry I'm making a plaque that represents things about the rescuer that I chose.It is made of wood and it has a name tag made of wood and it is turning out good.We had wood work on Tuesday and I made a cool spinning top that works really well.Also I had robotics and we watched videos and learnt how to use the new vex-IQ robots then we went on to do expedition Atlantis it.Finally on Friday we normally would have French but we didn't so we finished off our work. Later on we had wood work and I built a recipe book holder made from perspex for my Mum .I had to  make a cardboard model ,get the color of perspex I wanted ,then cut it out,and finally bend the perspex. Also I finished all the math work we had been assigned to do. Overall I had a very productive week.

I learnt a lot in term one, in class and out. I did one tech arts which was music and I started art with all the other year sevens. I did well on all my tests and in class I do my best and I think I learnt so many more things then all of last year. For example I learnt writing rules,math algorithms and lots more things that I didn't learn last year. on the first day I didn't think I would even communicate with some of my class mates throughout the year but now I have a different relationship with all of them. I made lots of friends and had lots of fun in term one. But it has been weird adjusting to the different type of work,using commuters, moving around classes and the class room because I'm used to having a designated table but I definitely enjoy the way we get to choose were we sit. Later on in the term we had camp and on camp I learnt a lost and had some amazing experiences like,Zealandea,Weta Workshop and going to parliament.  In the second to last week of school...

We went to lots of different places while we stayed in Wellington like ,Te papa,Zealandea,parliament,Space Place,wellington zoo and a marine reserve. While on camp my three favorite three places we went to were H2O Xtream,Android app making and Weta workshop. I liked H2O Xtream because we were all making huge trains and going down the water slides together .The only down side to H2O Xtream was that I jumped into the pool and cut my knee. I liked Weta workshop because we got to hold guns and props from movies ,like the rail gun from district nine and the Tommy gun from King Kong what made it even better is that I had seen those props in the movies. I liked android app making because using a simple app I made 4 apps that I could even use on the phone provided. My Favorited app was the magic 8 ball ,we programmed the app to show a random answer after shaking the phone we also made it make the sound cha ching when we shake the phone.

In week five and six I learnt about the holocaust and the Nazis. I learnt that the Jews where rounded up by Nazis to get either killed or made into slaves, this  all happened throughout world war two. I had lots of fun at robotics on both Thursdays and I learnt how to make a robot called sphero walk by putting in orders or controlling it we used the sphero app on the i pads in week seven but in week six we used tickle to control them. In maths I learnt about B.E.D.M.A.S. bedmas is a way to figure out a equation it means brackets,indeces/powers,division,multiplication,addition and subtraction. you use this to find the correct answer in a equation. I also learnt about how to place commas like in lists and before fanboy. That is what I learnt in weeks seven and six

Week five was good I had my first robotics session and we watched a video and used the i pads and went on tickle to try make a object move and talk. I also learnt to pay more attention when writing the page number and the work we have to do  in maths sometimes I miss out the most important things like how many questions to do so I end up doing too much work and wasting lots of precious  time but know I am going to pay more attention. Also we won jump jam with the most points possible.  Overall i had a amazing week five and I learnt lots.

I found week three exciting but it is still hard to keep up with all the notices but Friday sport was fun and danish rounders also is fun because our team is in the finals. Also I did swimming heats. The most important thing I learnt is that you need to listen hard,very hard to the notices because you can miss your activities and meetings. Also I got my mathletics pass words and I learnt how to find live games and do things on mathletics. In music I learnt how to play some tunes and about the classical era and now I can play F,G,C and A minor on the ukulele.

I find TAI a lot different then my previous schools. the biggest difference is the opportunity there are for example camps,trips,band,sports,leadership positions and more. At my old school there were opportunities but not such a vast amount. I do find the assemblies quite long but you leave having a lot more info about the week.  I found my first few days hard with so many notices but some how I managed. I have had a fun first couple of days and now I am getting to the school and I am sure it will be a great year.
